China’s Agricultural Import and Export for Jan. - Dec. of 2016

From January to December of 2016, China’s import and export in agriculture totaled US$ 184.56 billion with a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%. China’s agricultural export was US$ 72.99 billion and its agricultural import was US$ 111.57 billion, up by 3.3% and down by 4.5% respectively. China suffered a trade deficit of US$ 38.58 billion in agriculture, down by 16.5%. The export and import figures of major agricultural products were as follows:

Note:

The net import volume of grains was 21.361 million tons, down by 33.6% on a yearly basis.
