Vice Minister Qu Dongyu, Namibian President Geingob visit CCCAP

On March 30, Vice Minister Qu Dongyu and visiting President of the Republic of Namibia Hage Gottfried Geingob visited the Scientific Research and Test Base of the CIP-China Center for Asia Pacific (CCCAP) in Yanqing District.


They visited the laboratory of CCCAP and the Potato Museum, learned the development of the center and listened to introduction on the cooperation between China and CCCAP and potato industry in China.


President Geingob fully recognized the establishment of CCCAP and appreciated it as a successful model for creative cooperation between China and international organizations. At the same time, President Geingob delivered his thanks on agricultural cooperation projects implemented by China and Namibia and expressed that they would like to further enhance cooperation and exchanges with China, especially agricultural cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, in order to promote mutual benefits and win-win results.


Qu said that Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and the Republic of Namibia kept frequent exchanges on agriculture and the Chinese side would like to further develop South-South Cooperation with Namibia in agriculture. At the same time, Namibia could take advantage of the Center, an international platform, to develop potato industrial cooperation in an active way.


They also visited Beijing Xisen Sanhe Potato Co., Ltd. which is located in Yanqing District, accompanied by Zhang Mingyi, Chinese ambassador to Namibia, and other people concerned.
