MOA senior advisor Bi Meijia meets Belgian Directorate General of FASFC

MOA senior advisor and Director-General of Department of Personnel and Labor Bi Meijia met with Mr. Herman Diricks, Directorate General of the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) of the Kingdom of Belgium, in Brussels on July 15, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in food safety regulation and other issues.


Mr. Herman Diricks conveyed the greetings from Mr. Willy Borsus, Federal Minister of Small Business Owners, SMEs, the Self-Employed, Agriculture and Social Integration of Belgium, and briefed the Chinese side of the latest developments of food safety regulation in Belgium. The two sides exchanged their practices of agricultural administration and personnel cultivation, and agreed to implement related activities under the framework the MOU signed between the two ministries. The two sides also pledged to press ahead with the cooperation in animal health, food safety regulation and personnel exchanges & training.


Accompanied by Mr. Herman Diricks, the Chinese delegation also conducted a field study to a number of cow farms and learned about the operation and management of family farms in Belgium.
